Lava Car Rental in Iceland

The driving experience was good but the passenger in the back seat said it was not comfortable at all. Good amount of luggage space but not much for a backseat passenger.

Everything was good, execpt the fuel door couldn’t open easily. I reported to the person when I checked out the car already.

The car was fine except for one major issue. When I picked up the car and drove away the low tire pressure light came on immediately. I went back into the rental office and told an employee. He came and looked at the tires and said they were fine and the sensor was just overly sensitive. I said one front tire looked low. He disagreed but I told him I wanted the pressure checked in all tires before I left with the car. He seemed annoyed at my request, but he took the car and checked the tire pressure. He said he put just a little air in one tire and it was fine. The next day the low tire pressure light came back on and one front tire was almost completely flat. We had to stop every single day, sometimes twice a day, to refill one or both front tires. It was extremely frusterating that the employee disregarded by concern, acted like I was being unreasonable, and then I had to deal with the stress and inconveneince of having bad tires when driving across the country in bad, rainy weather. When I dropped off the car I told that employee what happend and he was apologetic, but offered no discount or refund. Given the inconvienence of having to stop many times to refill the tires, and the stress it caused during the entire trip, a refund of some sort is clearly appropriate.

Overall the rental experience was great. The car was new and in a great condition. Easy pickup and dropoff. I did have a lot of difficulty in charging the car. At some places the right connector wasn't available and at others the car wouldn't charge (especially at N1 cc charging stations). Not sure if it's about the car or charging stations. Other than that didn't have any issues.

We got an upgrade to a Mitshubisiu Cross Eclipse due to maintenance of their Dacia Duster fleet. This was a pleasant surprise to start our journey. Furthermore, the entire trip was perfectly fine with the car!!

The car worked out perfectly. And I really appreciated how responsive Northbound was for updating our pick-up time when our flights got delayed into Reykjavík.

Everything was ok. The car was clean end efficient.

the Camperexpansion was very simply, when pick up the car had a lot of damages, the Automatic was okay.

Great car for our 8 days ring Iceland trip. Lava rental provides great service too. We are very happy and Northbound provides excellent service too.

Great seamless process and experience from start to finish!

The car we rented was really good an everything went smoothly when we brought it back. Even wen our flight was changed a quick phone call an thing were ok.

The car rental was very good organized, also the airport transfer to Lava-car and back. The only thing was that it was difficult to find the transfer bus to lava-car. We were at the wrong place. Where al the car rentals are. I suggest let someone pick us there. The suzuki was a very good car, but 2 things. 1) I paid for GPS and didn’t become it, had to use my phone 2) the fuel tank was nit completely full the pointer was a little bit for the F, i brought it completely full back. Those thinks could better!!!

Loved the car in every respect except one used an amazing amount of gasoline. Not sure why! Car drove well lots of safety features but too much fuel needed

All went well after we get to the Lava Office. The take off and landing. Car was just right for 2 Person. Only thing what you should improve is teling where the sutle van is coming. But all other things was very well organiced and personel worked effiently.
