Pick up via shuttle bus was quite late to the rental place but other than that very smooth

This was the best car rental experience I’ve ever had! Pickup was seamless, friendly and courteous. Great service with no wait time. Car was superb. Clean, comfortable and reliable and so easy to drive. Return was just as seamless, with no wait time, courteous and professional and friendly service and quick return to airport. I will definitely rent from only you for my future Iceland trips!

Was surprised at the overall value I received from this rental. For the price I was expecting minimal service and that was not the case. Shuttle from the airport (3 minutes) was helpful and the time between arrival at the rental center and leaving with our vehicle was short. Car was clean and we had no issues driving in winter conditions. Gas station is right by rental center making refill easy before returning the car. Free shuttle back to the airport was appreciated. We are planning to return to Iceland in the summer to drive the Golden Circle, will be using this rental car company again.

I am extremely happy with Northbound. This was our 6th time in Iceland, and we have rented vehicles in the past. Two years ago, we booked directly with MyCar and were very happy with them. I emailed Northbound before booking this time, as I wasn't sure why I would book through Northbound and not MyCar directly. Northbound's customer support is wonderful and always answered my questions. I liked that I could compare the vehicles, prices, and companies. We decided to try booking from Northbound this time but still selected a MyCar rental, and as in 2022, they were wonderful. Our 2024 Toyota RAV4 GX Hybrid was clean, everything worked (we definitely needed those heated seats, great heat, and studded tires), and MyCar personnel was awesome as well. We asked for and received both an ice scraper and a snow brush. We also received 3 discount chips to scan at the gas stations from MyCar to use when we purchased fuel. From start to finish, Northbound support was fantastic, and renting from MyCar was a great experience (we also like MyCar's new office at Keflavik Airport and appreciate the nice sitting area and free coffee and hot chocolate where we were able to relax a bit and get more layers of warm clothing from our luggage early in the morning before setting off on our next adventure). We also liked that MyCar had very tiny stickers with "reported damage" on a few dents when we did the initial inspection at pickup and took our own photos. It's very convenient to refuel the rental at the nearby N1 before returning the car -- less than 200 meters from MyCar. KUDOS and TAKK to Thordis and Harpa at Northbound for their super customer support (including these: one of our booking links didn't work, and they fixed it immediately; they also fixed the link for downloading the "iceland-101-www.northbound.is.pdf"). Our thanks to MyCar as well for a clean and safe rental vehicle and convenient free shuttle service to/from the airport terminal. We needed to shift our dates by two days, and both Northbound and MyCar were fantastic and handled the shift and provided the updated rental voucher right away and with no issues. We have friends going to Iceland next year, and I have already told them about Northbound and MyCar. I also told them to get the insurance and to definitely consider the Platinum coverage, which is what we purchased. Looking forward to our next Icelandic adventure in the near future!!!

I rented a 4x4 from them and everything was great! While we were in Iceland, they sent me information about the country such as roads and volcanoes. Very happy.

Perfect car for our road trip! Handled nicely, plenty of room for all of our luggage, comfortably equipped with auto amenities.

Great experience. Pick-up & drop-off from the airport was seamless. Vans were great for our group and all luggage. We had no issues with our vehicles and we drove quite a bit (2500 km).
