Excellent
The car handled very well and seemed to do well in the snow. I would recommend making sure there is a snow/ice scraper in the car, though. The WiFi unit was a great thing! The customer service was excellent with both pick up and drop off.

Good
The car was clean, both outside and inside, and ready to go when we arrived. The model is ok, just what we expected. But there were problems with the driver's window. It would not close automatically unless you pushed it manually. Also few times, on the road, we experienced a failure signal telling us there was something wrong with cruise control and automatic brake radar. The owner's manual says it should be inspected. We called it in when returning the car. All in all our Suzuki seemed to be heavily used already.

Everything ok,
the car was perfect, absolutely no problem f with the renting and the car
the 24 /7 services is of great help for diffiicult hours of picking and returning the car

Hi Thordis,
It was great thanks, car was fine and fit for the job. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Only criticism, when we arrived at the airport after dark there was no one waiting in arrivals for us and the other clients of yours, no information, no boards, nothing.
Not easy for foreign travelers arriving for first time in the evening.
But we sorted it by finding a phone number and calling your office.

Excellent
Everything went nice and quick. The only weak point are the unfortunately worn windscreen wipers. You often need them in Iceland. It would also be very nice to get some tips before about driving on snow, ice or through storms in winter.
Take pictures from all damages so you can show them after the trip, the company is fine after seeing the pictures even if they didn't appear in the damage protocol before.

I think it was excellent! The right front light didn’t work when we picked up the car, but in 5 minutes the guy had already fixed the light for us - amazing service!
We had no problems with the car at all, a really good experience! We would for sure choose Nortbound and Northern Lights again ;)

Renting a car for our 5-day stay in Iceland was hassle-free via Northern Lights Car. The car was exactly as booked (very glad it was a 4X4) and everything went smoothly. I was unaware that the car rental was not at the airport itself, but this did not have any noticeable consequence as an efficient bus shuttle is provided to/from. I can recommend to others.

The vitara 4x4 is a great car for Icelandic roads during the winter, super reliable and comfortable, the one we got had seen some abuse but held up perfectly.
Great pickup service and drop off at the airport and very helpful staff at the office.

A representative from the company was waiting for me when my flight landed. 10 minute transfer to pick up the car. Very professional staff made the hire smooth and quick. We found some ice in the original car from cleaning so they changed it immediately. Overall very helpful staff, car was very reliable and safe. They are open 24 hours so returning it in time for an early morning flight was no trouble at all. It takes a little longer than hiring from the airport itself but the lower price makes it well worth it!

This company is fantastic. They were waiting we at the airport when we arrived. The driver was so polite and friendly and professional. Our vehicle was spotless and exactly what we ordered. The paperwork was quick and there were no hidden costs. And if I had any concerns or questions they responded very promptly. I will definitely use Northbound again. Highly recommend.

Very flexible, picked us up on the hotel for free even though is was not included. Did not have any problems with the car. Everything was fine. Gave us some news about the weather conditions. See you next time. Highly recommended.
