hello, the car is so good appropiate to discover Iceland, but our experience unlucky it's no perfect, when We just arrived to airport no one was here, so We call to comes here… :( and the return, when driving in a road 1, a big truck in a speed just move the grave to the windscreen of the car, and produces a Little damage, so We can to pay 15000kr...

Everything was perfect. Our journey in Iceland and in Toyota Yaris was excellent

We rented a 2017 vehicle with plans to drive around Iceland. The staff were extremely easy to work with and very friendly. They also were quick to respond when we experienced automotive problems, as can happen anytime we had car issues. On the 2nd day we ended up getting a flat tire which we changed. Since we had just started our adventure we contacted Lava and they recommended we take it to a mechanic to get the flat repaired or replaced. After doing that we drove another 200 Kilometers and started to notice a clunking when turning at slow speeds. Again we contacted Lava and they instructed us to take the vehicle to a mechanic. The Mechanic stated the differential had to be repaired. Lava then took the initiative to have one of their staff drive a brand new rental out to us 7 hours from their office. It was there the next night and the rest of our experience went without an issue. I was very pleased with how well and quickly Lava responded to the particular issue.

The Suzuki was a great vehicle to explore Iceland. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The van was very clean. The mattress was comfortable.

The Duster was ideal for doing the Ring Road over two fantastic weeks in July. I chose Lagoon via Northbound as they were very competitive and had good reviews; also interestingly Northbound quotes were noticeably better than my usual route of HolidayAutos. However, Lagoon slipped up on some of the initial service items (car not clean, blocked windscreen washers, no jack/ tyre lever, car not ready) when I collected the Duster. But, they responded promptly and very fairly to my email outlining these issues, refunding some of my hire costs - and I would therefore recommend them and use them again. The staff were all friendly and the drop off service worked great at 0715 even though it’s just outside the international airport unlike most hire companies.
