Very efficient and friendly.

Great experience from beginnng to the end. Most beautiful place I have seen, and having access to your own vehicle is priceless. Northbound and Lava exceeded my expectations.

We had a great 3 weeks in our Dacia Duster with Roof Tent. The tent was easy to set up and kept us dry the whole time. The car worked as should be (also on F roads), though it lacked a bit power to be honest. Though renting a car was extremely expensive in Iceland, my experiences were perfect with Northbound and Icerental 4x4.

Our experience is mixed. We booked a Nissan pétrol Diesel and we had finally a old Dodge Fuel. Obviously, the prize of the fuel is more expensive and the cosumption was not the same, with an average of 18 liter per 100km. Moreover, we had a flat tire. We can't affirm that this is fault of the worn out tyre. But there was not the good tools to change the wheel. We lost an half of a day for waiting an assitance just to have the good connector. Fortunately, rental compagny affirmed us that there will be any surtax for the flat tyre because this isn't our fault. Otherwise, this was the less expensive rental compagny

The first Suzuki had some issues - the ESP warning light - and later the 4x4 maintenance light, followed by failure of the tachometer and speedometer readings - came on in a remote area. Called the emergency number to confirm if it was safe to continue driving and the respondent recommended that we swap out for another. We returned to the airport that night and exchanged the 2011 for a 2015, which was a big improvement in power and overall condition. The customer experience was positive, but I would suggest that a rental 4x4 should be retired before it's 7 years old. I've owned 4x4's and have been very careful with them, but I know many if not most people drive them without regard to impact on the vehicle, no matter how rough the road is...and even more likely to do so if the vehicle doesn't belong to them.

We were upgraded to a suzuky gran vitara which however got problems after 4 days. We received another car which was ok after however having had to call all day in order to reach emergency services, no one answered the phone. After they did, the other people in the company did not know what was agreed, the exchange was nog put into the computer etc, communication within the company seems unexisting. Kn the west fjords we got a flat tire and were unable to undo the spare tire because of rust. We received the message from the emergency service that t there was no service in the west fjords! Sometjing that is nowwhere in the contract and we were not informed of. We were kind of Laughed at on the phone, the operater told us to jump on it! As though we did not try that before calling. Afterwards the office was so kind not to charge us for a new tire since the tire we eventually ducceeded to buy is not new and not the same size. We Were glad to find a tire thanks to some tourists who helped us out since We were left to ourselves without help and not happy.. The cars are old ant really reliable.

I had a wonderful experience. Everyone was helpful, and the vehicle I rented was exactly as they said it would be. Highly recommended!!

Car was great. Roof tent was great. Generally the company was responsive and helpful. My only complaint was that we got the cooking kit, which was pretty expensive for what it was, and they only gave us enough butane for the first few days. So kindof killed the idea of cooking for the whole trip. Guess we could have bought another canister but didn't know where to get it. We asked for a refund for it and didn't get it. They should have just refunded us.

It was a smooth easy process from beginning to end. Northbound offered the best price I could find for a camper in Iceland for 1 week. I paid a down payment online and paid the rest in person. The car ran great and Lagoon had a great customer service with no problems.

The driver was waiting in the arrivals section with a Lagoon Car Rental sign, as promised. There were about three different groups who loaded up in the van for a short ride to the rental car facilities. Then things slowed down. While the two clerks had computers, the rental contracts are filled out by hand. Then the renter is invited to go inspect the car for dents and dings to make sure that they've been recorded before departing. The whole process took longer than it should. The car worked fine and the rate was good at the time I booked it. (Car rentals and gas are expensive in Iceland.) We returned the car early on Friday morning and that process moved quickly. We were then driven back to the airport to catch our flight home.
