Our experience with Northbound was excellent. The car was in a very good condition, pick-up and drop-off went smoothly and we did not have any problem with the car during our stay. The main reason why we chose Northbound was the fact that there is special category of 4x4 cars listed and offered by Northbound on their website which we could choose from and then also the price was good. I really recommend this car rental company.

Excellent. Vehicle was precisely as advertised and was in good condition, handled roads well. Our drop off was very efficient and we waited 0 time to be transferred back to the airport. Unfortunately our pickup was approximately 1 hour later than we had requested however the company was apologetic and made it right by us. We were able to decline CDW as we had been told by northbound that we could so that we could use insurance through our visa. Our questions on the northbound website were answered promptly by a real person.

On our recent trip to Iceland, we rented a Suzuki Vitara, despite some concerns about driving in Iceland in the winter. The car got us around safely and comfortable, even during a tense bit of driving through a snowstorm. The staff were friendly and helpful upon pick-up and drop-off. My only suggestion is to put a large sign outside the rental location, as we had trouble finding it when we brought the car back. Thanks for helping us have a wonderful trip in Iceland!

Experience was great! My expectations were far exceeded. I would recommend Northbound and Lava Auto to anyone. By far the best auto rental agency I've ever rented from.

The service was great, arranged a car for the morning that we decided to hire a car and collected us from our apartment. The car was much better than a Ford KA. The staff were very helpful. We decided on the last day to extend the hire and drop off at the airport and we were only charged the extra £25 drop off fee, cheaper than the bus transfer.

Having just got back from our trip to Iceland i can say without a doubt that lava auto car rental have been the best car hire service we have ever used! From being picked up at the airport when we arrived, to being dropped back off at the airport for our return flight. We booked online, after searching for 4x4 rentals in Iceland. Received quick responses to our queries and we were allowed to make changes to our initial booking without charge or issues. We hired a Dacia Duster 4x4 which was a January 2017 model, which was brilliant and did not have a single fault, we drove it all over the Island and we were extremely surprised by its excellent fuel economy. The team a Lava auto were professional and very helpful - all paperwork done without any wait and return was faster then expected (no hassle). Without a doubt i can thoroughly recommend lava auto for quality service with a smile and good value!

Everything was great! After we landed, we were taken from the airport to the office to sign the rental agreement, allowed to check inside and out the car if it's all good (as it was) and off we were for a 950km long journey through Iceland! Didn't have any problems except we could have wished for a new pair of windshield wipers, but they were fine anyway. And returning the car took like only a couple of minutes and the employee who was very kind and friendly and drove us to the airport. Definitely going to choose Northbound when next time visiting Iceland! Hopefully soon and hopefully in a summer! Loved everything about Iceland!

Our experience renting a car with Geysir through Northbound was very easy and pleasant. The shuttle bus to and from the airport was quick and the people at Geysir were friendly and helpful. I would definitely rent through them again if we return to Iceland.
