Good

Overall experience was positive, the staff was extremely friendly and the process of rental and drop off wen smoothly. Our main concerned was with the maintenance of our vehicle, the front wheels had a lot of shaking and small pot holes would cause the vehicle to veer from side to side. This started from the moment we picked up the vehicle. We understand that we chose an older less expensive rental, but vehicle safety should still be high priority. Other than that I would recommend the service we received to friends and other travelers.

Good

Within 12 hours, the car I rented had a broken trunk (and in turn the lock button on the remote didn’t work) and a broken passenger driver side handle. I was supposed to get a replacement vehicle but it never showed up nor was anything communicated to me why it didn’t show up. Overall the car worked well enough for us but I am not sure that I would rent from them again.

Outstanding!

Fantastic. We were going to rent a room en Reykavik, but heard about carrental. Thank God we decided to do that. Everything was splendid and the trip in the nature were great. No complaints what so ever.

Excellent, exception the GPS who didn't found all the touristic place we had visited, so we were old school with a map!

Great company! Super friendly staff made it easy to rent the Jimny (despite us losing the confirmation, oops!), were happy to provide maps, fuel discounts and advice on what to see. Gave us a free lift to and from our accommodation too - couldn't ask for better service.

Outstanding!

Had absolutely no issues getting to the location (except that Thrifty doesn't open nearly as early as google says they do) and it was great to have the flexibility of returning the car at Keflavik Intl. The Ford Fiesta was impeccably clean and reliable and by the end of the trip, it had grown considerably on me. But that may just been the vacation goggles.

The staff from Icerental 4x4 was extremely helpful and arrived promptly at the airport to pick us up and take us to the rental vehicle. We were given helpful pointers and headed out to explore Iceland. The Dodge Durango had a few issues but for the most part was a nice big solid 4x4. To note for repairs: None of the interior lights work and the drivers seatbelt is very difficult to latch. Also, one of the back up lights is out and the windshield wipers desperately need changed.
