Outstanding!
Our camper was the Fiat. The condition of the car was perfect, new vehicle, few miles less than 20k, very clean and worked without issue. The van is appointed well. The sleeping area works, mattress is full, and soft. The IKEA bedframe was solid. The dishes and cooking utensils were clean and in good order. The electric system worked great. Hanging a phone at night is a big plus. Really liked the vehicle. The staff was great. Talked on the phone with Eleanor before the rental and she answered all questions. Mateusz was the rental agent, he was fantastic, had some solid advice, very friendly, great smile! Price is comparable. Total cost is appropriate for high season rental and is less than if you rent a car and book hotel stays. Also, the camper is way more flexible and available camping sites were great across Iceland.

The Dacia Jogger I rented from GoIceland had three issues: 1. The tires were nearly bald, resulting in hydroplaning and loss of traction at speeds of 60-70 kph. 2. The roof luggage carrier was broken when I rented the car, resulting in it popping open when I was driving against strong headwinds. The fellow inspecting the car at the time of rental said, "This sheet says the luggage carrier is broken. It's not broken, it just cracked. I'm changing this in the system" 3. The message, "battery low, start engine" would appear at random times. Starting the engine caused the message "battery charging" to appear, but the battery low message would come back if the engine was shut off.

We rented a Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4 (2023) from MY CAR and were very satisfied with the overall experience. The company provides excellent 24/7 service, and the staff was extremely helpful and customer-oriented. During our rental, we unfortunately got a flat tire, but the team guided us through the process, recommended a service, and since we had full insurance, we didn’t have to pay anything – the invoice was sent directly to MY CAR. The rental price was also the most competitive compared to other companies. Overall, we had a smooth and stress-free experience, and I can highly recommend MY CAR to anyone looking for a reliable car rental service.

We wanted to change the reserved vehicle to one that could cross the fords, but we encountered a lady who was not very friendly. She didn’t seem concerned about her job and refused even though the vehicle was available (and more expensive). Furthermore, there is only one shuttle vehicle, so for the return, there can be delays because the shuttle is small."

It was our second amazing trip to Iceland (2024 and 2025) and both times we had a Jimny from Lotus Cars via Northbound and everything was perfect! Only minor issues: In both years the pickup situation at the airport was not well organized. In 2024 no one showed up and after 30 minutes of waiting I had to call Lotus. In 2025 the pickup location had changed. The driver didn’t show up in the exit-hall but at the airport meeting- point. So maybe you can check the pickup description in your emails to avoid waiting times. Secondly: Maybe the cleanliness of the car interior could be better. But for Icelandic conditions that’s a minor issue. Third small issue would be, that the oil maintenance (not oil pressure!) check light turned on during the trip. The woman at the Lotus hotline could comfort me, but still you have a nervous feeling when driving remote F-roads with a turned on oil check light. The drop off (with platinum insurance!) is perfect - done in 30 seconds. So in total I’m absolutely happy and will for sure choose you a third time with Lotus Cars (I’m a bit biased concerning the brand name, because one of my private cars is a Lotus 😉). Thank you for the great experience!
