Our Suzuki was perfect for our family of 4, enough room for all our bags, plenty of room for the kids in the back seat, the car was clean and reliable, especially when went a little bit off road and on the gravel roads. Loved the driving experience in Iceland. Good on gas too...

Mi valoración por lo general es buena. Intentaré no enrrollarme mucho. Recepción del coche: Nuestro vuelo se retrasó dos horas, al llegar la persona de Lagoon no estaba en el aeropuerto esperando, pero tan solo esperamos 5 minutos y apareció (entiendo debido al retraso del vuelo). A la hora de alquilar el coche todo correcto. Nos explicó con todo detalle lo que habíamos contratado y si queríamos contratar algún seguro más. El coche era exactamente lo que habíamos reservado, un Dacia Duster Diesel. Te lo entregan en una cochera dentro de la oficina donde puedes verlo y hacer fotos y videos (si lo deseas, aunque lo recomiendo) para ver los desperfectos que tuviera. Si hay que poner algún punto negativo, es la limpieza del mismo. Por fuera estaba limpio, pero por dentro la verdad es que deberían esforzarse algo más. No es que es que estuviera asqueroso, pero daba la sensación de que no les hacen una limpieza en profundidad (de vez en cuando) y algún que otro ambientador no vendría mal. El modelo era de 2017, exactamente lo que contratamos y con unos 100000 Km. El coche se comportó estupendamente, va realmente bien, éramos 4 personas con todo nuestro equipaje y la verdad, me sorprendió lo bien que va. Dimos la vuelta a la isla completa, fuimos a Askja... Devolución del coche: Muy rápida. Destacar que revisan el coche por completo y lo arrancan. En este tipo de coches y con las carreteras que hay en la isla, como no vayas con cuidado, puedes destrozarlo, entiendo que hagan estas revisiones. Como dije antes, valoración buena. Volvería a alquilar a traves de Northbound.

Very good overall experience

Great and useful!

Very good. I was apprehensive about all the horror stories on the internet about car rental from almost all vendors in Iceland. I experienced no such issues with Lagoon. There was no one in office when we picked up so the 15 minutes wait was very fair. However, the car's cosmetic condition was worse than documented and it had 3/4 full fuel vs full on the documentation. Lagoon rep updated both (wish it was correct to begin with- esp the fuel). Also, as soon as we started driving, the car started showing various service/maint. messages. I send an email via the website and they responded reasonably quick assuring me that the car was drivable and didn't need service and it didn't for rest of the 9 days I had the car. However, it did cause me anxiety to reach another town with what I initially thought was a crippled car. Return process was rather too slow. There were two reps that were helping 1 customer each. One left as soon as she was done with her customer while 3-4 of us were still waiting in line. Then the other guy left as well. Before you knew it, two van loads of about 20 folks showed up to an empty counter. One guy reappeared and immediately got busy (not with the customers). Luckily the van driver, checked me out in under 30 seconds and took us back for our flight which makes me wonder if Lagoon needs to have a better process or staffing to handle the volume. Having said that, it was not a horror story, the car worked well for all the 10 days we drove it, there were no overages, trust and pleasantness were maintained at both checkout and return. So would I rent from them again, absolutely (unless they are way more expensive than others).

The experience was great. Connecting at the airport went smoothly as well as drop off. The Suzuki Jimny performed well even driving through the rivers. The rental car rep. provided some great tips on driving in Iceland. All in all I have no complaints.

It was really good except that you couldn't provide the car I had booked when I arrived. I had to wait the morning after and I had to wait among new custumerswaiting as well. And you still had no car for me ! Because I got really angry waiting and realizing you had probably practiced overbooking on me, the team finally managed to find one. I had to come back tothe office 10 min later as my window (I had put down) culdn't get up back and was all out of the door, no more in its housing. So I had to wait around one more hour to get it fixed and then, I could not use it normally during my trip. Despite all this, I really recommend this company as it a 24/24 car rental with nice and warm team, family state of mind, you are serious and concerned about customers. You should take a better care about cars for little things or big ones as my window problem. If I come back to Iceland (I will that's sure), I will rent a car by your company. Pickup of the vehicle went smooth, the staff was friendly and helpful. The car itself was great and very suitable for F-roads and crossing small rivers (like when travelling to Landmannalaugar). The equipment could have been better. The GPS and blankets listed in the vehicle information were missing, and the sleeping bags were not sufficient for the Icelandic weather (according to the label, comfortable around 12 degrees, and 5 degrees as lowest temperature), so we had to buy blankets to stay warm.
