We spent a couple of days in Iceland doing all of the touristy things, including the blue lagoon and this glacier hike was the coolest! Our guide Stella was so precious! She was so sweet, informative and a total bad ass. Definitely worth the money and the million dollar views will take your breath away. Definitely recommend!

Awesome experience. Our guide Carolina was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable about the glacier environment and associated geology. Recommend this as a must to do activity. It is normally quite cold so one should layer up.

We are glad to have such an amazing experience in Iceland, the glacier hiking was fun, and our guide Deividas is knowledgeable and funny, we highly recommend him and Troll expeditions :)

Finished up the Three hour hike yesterday. Ryan and Roggi (no idea if that is spelled correctly) were great. Guides were very well informed and shared a lot of great information on the glacier. I was here a few years ago and went with another outfit on another tour and this one was much better. It was a very short drive and hike to the glacier, I was surprised how high up we went.

We had a brilliant time in May with these guys hiking on the glacier. The weather was great and our guide Ryan was a very funny and smart guy. He knew everything about the glacier and answered all of our questions!
Really great tour and super easy climb which i was happy about. Didn't last too long either so it wasn't drawn out. Highly recommended.

Very pleased with the service we received from BusTravel. If you don’t see the NorthernLights on your tour, you can rebook for free for any other night over the next 3 years (should you be revisiting Iceland!) - we went out 3 nights in a row and finally last night saw the most awesome display imaginable. Worth all the late nights for the end result. Our guide Chiara also took professional pictures which were emailed to us for free after the tour. All the guides were very knowledgeable and the free Icelandic hot chocolate and doughnuts just add to the excitement! The most amazing sight you could imagine.

The night we had booked this tour was cloudy and we spent nearly 6 hours in the coach trying to find clear skies. Got back to the hotel at nearly 3am! We were all exhausted. Said we could rebook as we didn’t see the lights. I emailed them and we were booked the following night. Unfortunately one of our party was too exhausted to go due to the late night before. There were clear skies and the northern lights were visible (it was a shame one person missed it though). I don’t think they should take you out if it’s cloudy because there is no way you will see the lights and driving round for hours on a stuffy coach in the pitch black is no fun. However there were no problems rebooking.

We thought we would never see the northern lights during our trip because of bad weather, but we booked the tour the day of our arrival for the coming night as the weather changed for a clear sky. And we did good.
The tour was very pleasant with a very good and funny guide (and a kind driver). They drove us to Þingvellir where the lights appeared quasi immediatly. Amazing experience.

We booked this tour mainly because one of our children is obsessed with penguins and puffins and this was the #1 thing she wanted to do. The tour was wonderful. Despite it being late in the season to view puffins, we saw hundreds. Mia, our guide, was great and the boat got us really close to the island where we could see puffins, arctic terns, gulls, and other birds. I HIGHLY recommend this tour.

The Elding Puffin Watching tour far exceeded any expectations I had. Mike, the boat captain, and Rodrigo, our guide, were so personable and knowledgable. We had plenty of time to view, watch and enjoy the adorable birds. Rodrigo was full of interesting facts and information, all the while snapping photos with his professional camera and lens. At the end of the tour, he shared their website to request copies, and the photos were the icing on the cake. Look no further for your amazing adventure!

Me and my wife stopped 2 days in Reykjavik during a cruise. Puffin watching was on my bucket list so I did not want to miss this opportunity. We booked tickets as soon as we got down from our cruise liner from the Tourist information centre and immediately got the shuttle bus to Reykjavik Old Port where we validated our tickets at the Elding Whale Watching Company Office and headed for the boat since boarding time was 10.00am. The cruise only took about 20 minutes and we were soon circling this small Island. We were very lucky to see hundreds of these beautiful Puffins, along with other seabirds hustling and bustling to and fro with mouthfuls of herring for their little ones in their burrow nests. We spent around 40 minutes watching these amazing unique sea birds before we cruised back to the Port. Wonderful experience not to be missed. The excursion was very informative and exceeded our expectation...

It was ok, Northern Lights was obviously mainly Icerental 4x4 as our rental had a Icerental 4x4 sticker of the logo on it and all the employees had jackets with that logo. Also, after going though the insurance options online and doing some research, we felt confident what we had selected would work for our trip. The person we dealt with in regards to the paperwork, while nice, seemed to be almost trying to scare us in a passive way to buy more insurance. We did purchase one extra area of coverage beyond what we originally got online, but didn't really appreciate that sort of passive pressure. Also upon drop off, we wanted to outline a couple of minor items with the vehicle we found while we drove it, but after a quick glance to check the car out while we were getting our baggage organized, the employee said we were good to go, right when the airport shuttle showed up, so there was no time...

Great 8 days roadtrip thanks to the 4WD provided by Northern lights car rental.
Car wasn't that expensive a that period of the year, and was sufficient for what I wanted to do (Dacia duster).
The staff was nice and I have been welcomed with smile, and giving back the car was simple et quick.
I particularly enjoyed the 24/7 to give back the car, I had the possibility to take my plane during the middle of the night without having to pay for a night in a hotel.

I definetly recommand this company. During my trip, I asked to other travelers the price of their rental car and I had the cheapeast.
However my car had a fuel consumption issue, close to 9L/100 kms with a very eco driving. I recommanded a check up after using it, but i guess it happens and it was only a probleme with my car.

Staff is also very reachable, as I had the opportunity to discuss with them thanks to the chat on their website...

There are quite a few companies to rent campervans from and Northbound has it all for your convenience. All on the same website :)
I did quite a lot of research prior booking and im so happy I went with Northbound. They offer big variety of rental companies and they are basically work like a hub, connecting you with all possible options. Also, you have a chance to pay small deposit as a reservaion. Its very convenient if you don't wanna pay full amount all at ones.
Not to mention, I actually got my campervan for like 20$ cheaper then renting directly from Kuku.
Some companies require you to deposit enormous security deposits btw. But not all of them. This is one of the reason I picked Kuku. They are very cool and easygoing team.
No pressure selling you extra ensurances etc (Although, i'd recommend getting at least Gravel protection due to some gravel roads that you will drive ocasionally)...

Kuku Campers is the way to get around Iceland. Incredible staff, awesome vans, and all at an amazing price. These people will give you the info on all the cool spots and things to do, whether it be around the city or across the country. Going with this company made my trip and if I ever repeat will be going with Kuku Campers again.

It was pretty good. The GPS was a little outdated but worked for the most part, and the car had a little bit of difficulty going uphill. Still, it carried us through the entire Ring Road comfortably through both wind and snow, and we had a great time.

Very informative presentation and an interesting place unfortunately we didn't see the aurora as the sky was too cloudy but this presentation made up for it. Well worth a visit.

Having failed to see the real thing the previous evening, we were very interested to see what we had missed. The whole exhibition was well laid out with excellent displays and photographs. Free coffe, what's not to like?

Everyone should go see the Aurora museum and you will find the nicest people there. Very helpful and knowledgeable. The place offers you free hot drinks and information on the Northern Lights. very educational for children and adults. fascinating facts and the best part is you are shown how to set your camera then practise using it to take photos in a specially prepared booth. it was hard to find but well worth a visit. maybe on the tickets they could have simple directions as many visitors couldn't find it and we gave them directions to get there. it was a free entry with the Aurora sight trip so well worth it. Maybe have information in hotels directing visitors to it?

Hi Runar, well, very good experience and the van very well, you have a beautiful country. but I do not think it is necessary, to rush so until the last moment, where would be the vehicle or the code of the padlock. you spend a bit of anguish, know where your car and house is 24 hours before, avoid unnecessary nerves. Otherwise everything very well. Thank you

This company was very accomodating. Receiving and returning the vehicle was extremely easy. We even upgraded to a larger car midway through our trip and the company was very accomodating and even gave us a better rate. We were very happy and would easily rent from Lotus again

Our experience with Northbound and Star Rental was perfect! This was our first trip to Iceland and having read good reviews on the internet about Northbound I chose them and selected a Dacia Dokker from Star Rental. We really could not have hoped for a better experience. They were quick to respond to my questions pre-trip, and everything went quickly and smoothly when we arrived. We found ourselves further from Reykjavik than we expected on the second to last day but they graciously extended our drop off time (at no extra charge!) and then helped us enormously in getting from their location to our AirBnB in Reykjavik. All in all, this was the best rental I have ever done and will definitely use them again when we return. Thanks!

we were told we would be met at the airport, in truth we have to wait almost 40 minutes before someone showed up & when we asked the information person she said, yes they come around every 30 minutes. after a long flight over it's not fun to wait around for the rental car van.
the office was run down, they said they were doing up grades but really there was no place to sit / it was cold / and signing paper work was done an a small piece of counter
the car was fine / not new by any means/ but ran well
it had lots of tings and scratches so we had to mark all that down, and a crack in the windshield - which we were very warned about the gravel roads etc. its' a lot of stress to hear when you are tired / have waited and just want to get on your way.
the personal were however friendly and offered us coffee

Overall experience was great. Check in and return were quick and staff was informative and helpful. Only suggestion I would make is in regard to the roof tent. Several times while driving the tent popped up/open. I ended up using a key-ring to keep it secure...and also noticed another driver has used a small luggage lock on his. It may be nice to add some small carabiner/clip/etc to the tents to prevent accidental opening while driving. Not a big was not unsafe or anything. Great experience all around and would definitely rent from NL again!

Great car, really comfortable and had all the gadgets, satnav, heated seats, heated steering wheel, wireless phone charger etc. We had a 4x4 but didn't really need it but still a great car to do the route 1 in. We covered just under 2000km comfortably.

We didn't get dacia logan, we got a hyundai i30 family car and it was the best car i have ever driven. It was perfect. Me and my friends wanted a bigger car so we would be more comfortable on the journey across icelands circle road. And the amount of gas we used was lower than expected for a big car.

Very good, ok with the expectations, a perfect way to have a marvellous journey
The cooking gas system may be a little more powerfull but this little thing is only to point out a thing to improve, so it is a proof everything was really perfect
